Relevant Population Characteristics
Data show the following population subgroups are less likely to enter prenatal care in their first trimester:
*Mothers younger than 20, especially teens
*Non-White Race
*Hispanic ethnicity
*Low educational attainment (high school or less)
*Unmarried women
*Women who have had three or more previous births
