Query Builder for Population Estimates Query Module for Utah's 61 Small Areas - Count

Overview

Overview

The population data in this IBIS-Q query module were produced by the Utah Department of Health. Linear interpolation of ESRI ZIP code data provided annual population estimates for zip code areas for age by sex groups. All estimates were then weighted so that county totals for each age by sex group matched those provided by the Utah Governor's Office of Planning and Budget.

"Small areas" refers to a set of 61 geographic areas in Utah with population sizes ranging from approximately 20,000 to 60,000 persons. These geographic areas are especially useful for doing public health assessment in communities within Utah's urban counties. Small area population numbers are not available for race, ethnicity, or single year of age.
