About Publications

Welcome to the IBIS-PH publications page. An online publication is typically an Adobe Acrobat PDF file that contains numerical and contextual data for a specific public health issue or topic. Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) publications are designed to provide the answers and information about the most frequently requested data inquiries. Publications typically contain detailed analyses of numerical data along with supporting contextual data. They also contain summaries and specific graphical data charts. The IBIS-PH website does not directly contain nor store some DHHS publications. This section of the IBIS-PH website simply provides several organized access points to the various DHHS publications.

Getting Started

PREREQUISITE: Online publications are typically contained within an Adobe Acrobat PDF file. You will need an Acrobat Reader browser plugin installed on your local computer to view them.

The IBIS-PH website provides access to DHHS publications in the following ways:
  • For the DHHS Office of Research and Evaluation (ORE) there are two indexes available:
  • Main Publications Search page. This page contains a special search feature. This search option uses the Utah Government Publications Online Digital Library search engine which has cataloged and indexed most DHHS online reports. This page also provides an example of how to use a web browser to conduct a search of just the DHHS website for online publications.
