Females aged 17 or less are not included in this data as BMI categories for ages younger than 18 are different than those for adults. Obesity for adults is defined as a BMI of 30 or more. Numerator: Number of of women aged 18 or older who delivered a live birth and had a body mass index (BMI) greater than or equal to 30.0 kg/m2 calculated from prepregnancy weight and height.
Denominator: Total number of live births to women aged 18 or older.
