Relevant Population Characteristics

According to 2014-2016 Vital Records, the rate of smoking during the third trimester of pregnancy is highest among women under 24 years of age. According to 2015 PRAMS data, smoking during the third trimester is more prevalent among women who have less than a high school education, are unmarried, and Medicaid for prenatal care.
