2017 data show the following population subgroups at higher risk of having a low birth weight infant: *Maternal age (mothers younger than 19 and older than 35) *Race (Utah mothers who were Black or African American or Asian had higher rates of low birth weight than the Utah general population) *Lower educational attainment (less than college education) *Being unmarried
