There were 50,486 live births to Utah residents in 2016. Of those births, 91.5% were born to White mothers; 1.5% Black/African American; 1.0% American Indian/Alaskan Native; 2.5% Asian; 1.4% Native Hawaiian/Other Pacific Islander; 0.5% other race; and 1.6% unknown race. 15.6% of births were to mothers who consider themselves Hispanic.
