The Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program (HDSPP) at the Utah Department of Health has a goal to decrease the prevalence
of heart disease and cerebrovascular disease (stroke) in the state. HDPSPP created a manual to educate health care providers
on the most up-to-date recommendations on how to take a blood pressure and treat patients with hypertension. HDSPP also partners
with agencies to improve quality of care at the systems level for patients with high blood pressure and high cholesterol.Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention Program, Bureau of Health Promotion, Division of Disease Control and Prevention, Utah Department of Health, Salt Lake City, UT 84114-2107,
